Notice: Hell is coming
Jan. 30th, 2004 01:55 amOkay folks, here we are in final countdown. Wisdom teeth are coming out in a matter of hours. I am starting to get really nervous. Can we please just get this over with already?

I have less skull then I had before.
Jan. 30th, 2004 12:53 pmI have new respect for anyone who has ever undergone white-noise torture. White-noise torture is the sound of a machine chiseling through the bone which comprises your skull - a sound which reverberates *inside your head.*
I'll use the dentist's own words. The left one popped out like "a pencil out of styrofoam." The right one was like "a steel post in concrete." I am being punished, he said, for having strong, healthy bone. I now have a penicil-lead sized hole into my sinus! This motherfucker on the left was that badass. What he pulled out of my mouth was a tusk! I swear to God, a fucking tusk! No wonder my teeth are compacted. I have been in danger of being killed by poachers for years and never known it. A fucking tusk, I tell you.
The good news(?) is that as much of a crisis as this was, (He says he sees about two cases a year that are this difficult,) there is pretty much no way my bottom teeth can ever come out. That's fine. No one's ever said anything about my bottom ones. It's always been the top ones they've sighted as problems. megiloth was right. This whole thing is overrated. I've got my codine, my antibiotic against sinus infection, and some perscription mouthwash in a huge bottle that looks like something from a 19th century apothecary. I'm ready for anything. I go back on Monday for a checkup, so let's hope there's no dry sockets or other nastiness waiting for me. Off to bed now before the codine puts me under.
