I have no luck with morning parking lot duty, I've decided. My days to do it always fall on the dates when it is cold enough to cut glass with one's nipples. Ah well, if standing in the cold will help me burn a few extra calories, so much the better.
Had the first read-through of the show tonight. Not bad. Read throughs are a little boring if you're character isn't on every page, but still good for getting a feel on what the other actors will be like to work with. And yes, I'll say it: it's nice to spend time in Independence again. Meth labs, mormons, and screaming Mexican neighbors aside, it is still a nice, cozy little town. This is gonna be an awesome show. I can't wait.
A flyer was left on the security desk today advertising 13-band blues concert to benefit research into Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. The blues and SIDS. I can't decide if this is the most appropriate pairing I've ever seen, or the most tasteless. *shrug* Then again, I suppose there's no real way to tastefully pair SIDS with anything. I feel queasy even typing about it. I think I'll stop now.
