It's always a good thing when you're ex-girlfriend decideds to be nice and give you some pussy for the holidays.

Seriously! I'm taking care of her cats while she's home for the holidays. They're pretty much scared of everyone except her, so where it not for the fact that they poop like a couple of well-fed buffaloes, I'd be worried that they had escaped. How two animals can eat so little yet defecate so much is utterly beyond me. But, I'm glad to help and anything that keeps me and Melissa talking in spite of all our awkwardness is a good thing.

Christmas was an amazingly surprising one. I got a scanner from my folks which I was completely unprepared for. Guess I'll finally have to open my stingy wallet and buy an LJ membership so I can have room for all the icons I'm going to make. Guess I'll have to make a webpage or something now too. I'm still stunned. They also got me some chinese dragon-themed steering wheel and seat covers for my car, so the Echo will soon be rigged out for Xtreme pimpin'. Also got all the cd's I asked for, which is good since Christmas is the time when I try to get other people to buy me the discs I don't get for myself because I'm too busy buying metal. Acquired the new Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, and Mary Fahl cd's as well as a metal classic, Savatage's "Hall of the Mountain King." So... hell yeah.

'Twas a good Christmas after all. And here I was actually doubting. The only thing I doubt now is the speed at which I can produce artwork to scan.

Went out today a-hoarding material possessions, (New calendars for my wall and desk, new power strip to accomodate my plethora of plus enlarged by the acquisition of a scanner, an RPG book on hold at the local game store and a copy of L5R Training Grounds,) as well as to feed Melissa's cats. As I was coming home I drove by the skeletal remains of the haunted steel mill. Which, if you'll recall, is slowly being demolished by the new owners. In the cd player I had Saviour Machine's "One" cd. The track that was playing was "The Mask." Which will mean nothing to 90% of you except for the fact that as I passed, the track came to the unsettling line, "The entity fades... The entity fades..."

Creepy.
