For anybody who does not yet know...
Mar. 24th, 2003 10:43 amI mentioned a few entries ago I was looking at a theatre job. Well, I've got it and it's better than I thought it would be. It's a show based on the Gospel of John and we'll be getting paid to perform it at churches in the KC area - not all over the country like I'd feared. Without going into all the details, I have what every actor wants but few have: a gig that pays and has stability as well. It's a year-long engagement. Anyway, I'm pretty stoked. I'm sure I'll be run pretty ragged once rehearsals start, but that's for the future. Of course, it'll basically just be supplemental income, but that's exactly what I need right now. So... Yay! I'm happy.
And if you've ever been even remotely interested in the works of Frank Herbert, then I must say the Sci-Fi Channel's miniseries Children of Dune is fragging awesome! The way SFC has treated the Dune novels completely blows the pants off that bad joke David Lynch unleashed upon the world twenty years ago... okay that's not quite true. Lynch's Dune has some of the best quotes ever. Period. But the storyline is a complete trainwreck. But I digress. Anyway, just wanted to share that.
