Country 2 The Bone

Wal-Mart's direct to DVD movie they're promoting this month is called Pure Country 2: The Gift. Except the movie poster has it without the colon so it's just Pure Country 2 The Gift and I keep thinking they should have called it Pure Country 2 The Bone. But that name is probably copyrighted and fiercely protected by a manufacturer of bumper stickers.

I don't even know what the first one was about. I never saw it. I hate Country Music as a general rule. Unless it's the almighty Johnny Cash. Faith Hill is okay, and the Dixie Chicks don't bother me too much, although I can't sit through a whole album.

So is that their 'crap movie to trick people into thinking it's that movie that did well in theaters because they're just so similar!' for Country Strong? Cause that would make sense.

Very likely. The poster even gives George Strait top billing, but if you look on IMDB he's actually listed waaaay far down the cast list and his character doesn't even have a name. He's just "Country Music Star." I'm guessing he's on screen for maybe three minutes of the entire film. I love when movies pull a bait-and switch like that, billing someone really famous in a prominent role to trick their fans into seeing it when it's really just a cameo.

I like some country...I don't like Johnny Cash. Don't understand the appeal. I do like Faith Hill, though...I have a few country albums, including the Pure Country soundtrack.

Like Sean Bean in Equilibrium! We seriously rented that movie because it was like OMG SEAN BEAN and it was our Sean Bean movie night! That movie is lucky it's effing awesome or I'd be angry still lol
