Today was our final performance of Dracula. Unsurprisingly, it was the show where all the very old people showed up, as Sunday matinees often are. I think there were some people in the audience even older than Dracula. Seeing frail old ladies lifted bodily out of their chairs by Lesley's ear-piercing screams just made my day. HuzzaH! Also had the most pleasant of surprises when my old friend Kendra showed up in the crowd. I didn't think I would have anyone there today, so seeing her was like an unexpected gift.

It feels very weird that this show is finally over with. I've been working on it easily longer than on any show I've ever been involved with and the fact that there's nothing left I need to do for it just seems impossible. It has definately whetted my appetite for more music design, though. I would do it again without a second thought. Hopefully one day soon I will.

Anyway, strike went surprisingly fast and after that it was on to [livejournal.com profile] megiloth's house for what I call an LJ Meat Up Party, so named because it was celebrated with lots and lots of barbecued meat, thanks to the always-astounding culinary skills of [livejournal.com profile] kcdcchef. Many LJ people met each other in person for the first time. I myself made some new friends in the form of [livejournal.com profile] ohmyhead, [livejournal.com profile] tpaceo, and [livejournal.com profile] gnomeygirl, of whom photos now exist of us slow dancing in honor of the 8th grade dance experiences we never had and of us rubbing our mammary tissue upon one another's rumps which should never happen anywhere, ESPECIALLY at an 8th grade dance. Also gathered among the attendees were [livejournal.com profile] drinkalizer, (who was very critical of the many attempts at booby dancing,) [livejournal.com profile] massa_jean, [livejournal.com profile] thanis_bloodsto, [livejournal.com profile] yaqui, [livejournal.com profile] adonijah74 (pronounce it "a-don-EE-hah". He likes that.) and [livejournal.com profile] pinkfaeriestars, who does not like to be called Pink Fuzzy Elvin Marshmallow Love Sprinkles or ANYTHING else silly like that. So don't do it, okay? Okay. Anyway, photos of this sausagefest (and I say that in both the actual meat-eating and homoerotic senses of the word,) can be found at [livejournal.com profile] gnomeygirl's jounral.

But the best part of the evening of all was the fact that it was the first time I have ever been to [livejournal.com profile] megiloth's house that his peanut butter-licking dog-beast, The Bob, did not hurl his sixty-pound carcass full-throttle against my tender genitalia. How I avoided that awful fate this time, I do not know.

After all this I can't believe I'm as awake as I am.
