Went and saw "Troy" tonight with
poorheather Figured seeing the movie would be a good way to prepare
elvinborn's inevitable deluge of pictures of all the movie's hot men. (Just teasin', EB. Nothin' but love for ya!) 'Twas not a bad movie, although taking the gods out of the story created some logistical problems that had to be handled in creative ways. Overall, it was a good story, but didn't quite achieve the sense of epicness it was trying for - perhaps due to the decision to condense the entire ten years of the siege of Troy into a little over two weeks worth of time. But who cares? Ladies, if you've ever fantasized about a naked Orlando Bloom giving you a pearl necklace, then this is your movie!
It may say a great deal about poorheather and I that we were the only two people in the theatre giggling our sick li'l asses off about that.
As for the rest of the day, not much can be said. Woke up late with a sore throat which seems to have gone away now, not that I'm complaining, and proceeded to have a wonderful chat with
cygny and then proceeded to not do very much the rest of the day. But I needed a rest and a break. Anyway, enough LJing so I can go install that music software I downloaded last night and thush, get back to work on Dracula. As well as converting my novel chapters to .pdf format. This is the price of slacking off: you've still got work to do when the slacking is done.
