Writer's Block: Where I want to be

My earliest childhood dream was to be an astronaut. This was before I found out that they do not in real life get to go to other planets and fight aliens. So I became a writer instead and now get to go to as many planets and fight as many aliens as I want.

I think it worked out.

Very true. I wish I could write again. I used to write short stories. Not wonderful, but not horrible, either, and I had some pretty good ideas. I loved being taken to another place thru my writing...I just lost the edge about 6 years ago, and haven't really written anything since. I don't even know how to start anymore, and I hate that, because I do really miss it.

When you haven't been writing for a while it's really hard to get momentum again. I'm having the same problem with painting. It's been eight years since I've painted and I just can't get motivated to start again.

I'm sure a lot of ppl determined they did not want to be astronauts (or insert other similar job here) when they found out it didn't actually involve killing aliens (or dragons or something) lol. That's cute! And so very true. I am seconding best short story ever.
