30 Days of Music Meme - Day 8

I am off to meet [livejournal.com profile] stitchedsutures whom I haven't gotten to see in like, three years. But first let me exercise my obligation to post today's song: a song I know all the words to.

"I Don't Believe In Love" is the best song about having just killed your girlfriend that wasn't written by either Johnny Cash or Nick Cave. It is also, to my knowledge, the only metal song to use the expression raison d'etre, and correctly at that!

love the song :)

sorry, I've been on a vacation trip and now I try to make up for the lost time on my commissions so I'm pretty busy .. oh and I fell prey to some of those facebook games.. a bit shameful but true...
who is the mysterious person you're going to meet up with?

Just an old friend of mine for many years. She lives in another part of the country so we only get to see each other once every few years. We went to the art museum today and had an awesome time followed by an awesome lunch!

While my personal favorite song on the album is The Mission, You can't go wrong picking any song from a perfect album! :)

Not a stinker in the bunch!

I've always been impressed by their education level and command of language.

It's also just a damn good rock opera. I wish more people would see the lyrics for "Spreading The Disease."

Maybe a banner hung outside the Congressional building in D.C.

Now if Queensryche would release another album that's half as good as Mindcrime. Hell, at this point I'll even take one that's a quarter as good. It's been 22 years and I'm still waiting. Heh. Waiting for 22...

Great song. I love that my karaoke bar has it in their repertoire.

Awesome but I imagine that leads to some awful renditions!

Yes, if mine is anything to go by ;)

I have 3 people on my friends list doing this meme, and everyone is posting stuff that I haven't heard before. This makes me very happy :-)

It spreads the wealth around. How wonderfully socialist!

I've seen them do the show twice. Still one of the most amazing stage shows out there.

It was a good time! I'm glad that you were able to come out for a while on Thursday. We had a really nice trip all around. Brian posted some pictures on FB already, I will have to start posting more everywhere I guess to follow his example...
