Schadenfreude at Dune's development hell.

In case you didn't know Paramount Pictures is trying to do yet another remake of Dune. Apparently Peter Berg, the director who had been trying to lure in Robert Pattinson for a starring role, just walked. I'm sure this will lead to all sorts of fanboying over who "should" direct a Dune remake and who "should" star in it.

But what fun is that? So just to be different I've put together a dream cast that I would never, ever, EVER want to see in a production of Dune. It doesn't mean that I think they're bad actors, just that they would do a terrible job in Dune.

Yeah. They'd probably use this for a remake. Um. Didn't they already remake Dune? Didn't seem like not that long ago...and, er, Robert Pattinson, really? *shudders*

If you ask me, I think Alicia Witt should be in there somewhere...Actually in the remake, I mean...Just a shoutout to fans of the original. :P Besides, it's not like she's doing much now....

I don't know who a couple of those people you picked are, though...Like Tim Heidecker, Eric Wareheim, David Boreanaz, and, while the name Michelle Trachtenberg sounds familliar, I can't think of who she is...

Alicia Witt enjoyed a run on one of the Law & Order shows not too long ago. Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim are a pair of not very funny gross-out comedians. Do a search for "Tim & Eric" and you should probably be able to find plenty examples of their "humor." David Boreanaz played Angel on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and in his own spin-off. Michelle Trachtenberg was also on Buffy and has appeared in various films and TV series since then.
