Wow. I somehow failed to notice this. I wouldn't wear high heels on a bet.
On the other hand there are more commercials with men doing housework. One I saw though was filled with sports metaphors, lest you suspect there was something wrong with the guy.
Not only do I chores in heels, they are stilettos. Oh. And I wear nothing but those stilettos and a vintage apron. It makes me feel so in touch with progressive, feminist thoughts. Then I sit around and fantasize about the glamourous, sexxxy, empowering life that I will lead when I take my housework attire to the local strip joint stage. FEMINISM! It's not just about being able to vote for stuff even when you don't anymore!
Is that a bad thing? It doesn't bother me. In Remington Steele, Laura Holt (who is as perfect a rolemodel for independant women as you will find) ran after criminals in high heels. It never diminished her in any way.
