List five little things which make you happy/satisfied/give you pleasure. Don't go for the obvious ones like second-hand bookshops, warm baths, ice cream, wanking, seeing a band live or whatever. Odd little things, which give you a little frisson and make things better, even if just for a moment.
1) When a friend of mine comes to see one of my shows and I get to feel like I'm performing it just for _them_, then afterwards being told that they really liked it and knowing that they mean it.
2) Defeating the Big Bad mega-villain at the end of a roleplaying campaign. It sounds lame, sounds geeky, and I assure you there's nothing else quite like it in the world.
3) Building L5R decks and playtesting them, even though 90% of them, I never get to play against a living opponent. It's just a bizarre little oasis of comfort and compulsion for me.
4) Staring at my transparent blue quilt-top B.C. Rich Warlock electric guitar as it sits on its stand and just watching the finish and the fretboard inlays shine.
5) When I hold my hand above Nubbing's head, (he's one of our cats,) and watching him hop up on his back legs to rub his head against my hand. Something he will do again, and again if encourage him.
